NBA 2K13

This game is almost flawless. 2K Sports have once again managed to create a game that puts shame all Sports sims to shame.

with only a couple of changes from last years release, 2K12 still fails in comparison to this years game.

this years graphics are great. although there can be room for improvement. I say this because although the Arenas, fans and most players are almost picture life like, some players look like their faces were smashed and smeared.

the game has also made changes to the presentation. for example, they put Jay-Z (Hip-Hop music mogul) in charge of the music, which is great if your into hip-hop. if not, sorry fro your luck.

the music icon and minor owner of the Brooklyn Nets chose classics to play,(such as himself, Nas, Rakim, Maroon 5, etc). to play during in game loading times and the main menus, but after a while it gets a little annoying making you wish you could turn them off.

The creators have also perfected certain players signature moves, such as kevin Durant's silky smooth jump shot, Dirk's awkward fallaway shot, and they have also finally perfected Kobe Bryant's shot. compared to last years embarrassing failed attempt to imitate the black mambas fade away jumper.

they have eve add the little animations players do. such as Kevin Durant raising his index finger after a big three, Steve Novack doing his Aaron Rodgers touchdown celebration every time he makes a three, etc.

all those are reasons that this game was great.

My least favorite part of the game lies within the my player mode of the game. which is where i spend 90% of my 2k13 playing. for one, no matter how good you do in the rising stars challenge. you are still the worst player in the league.

you begin your career, not able to make a shot, are the worst ball handler aswell. you cant even be counted on to make a wide open layup.

one thing that the creators should do to better the my player experience is to increase the players in at least two or three attributes to make them a better player. instead of making them below average in all attributes.

there are certain player types you can choose for your player to star out as,  such as athletic, scorer, back to basket, slashing, distributor, or all around. they still don't do much to give your player an advantage.

another thing changed in the my player mode is VC which is virtual currency that your player earns by accomplishing goals during games or drills. you use this to purchase points to add to your attributes to make your player better. the crazy part is you have to pay for accessories, such ass calf sleeves, or arm sleeves.

whats even crazier about it is they're so expensive. you only earn about 90vc in a game when you start out. and accesories cost about 1,000vc.

the final annoying part for me is  when your player finally gets good, the game gets too easy. your player starts to fill the stat book up with crazy numbers. and it gets boring.

thats all i have for the game. this review seems really negative and the game is pretty bad now that i think about it ut i still love this game. thats why I give this game 3.5-5 stars.
